Advent Calendar

I keep forgetting to mention this here :P but Torquere's doing an Advent Calendar this year. Each day has a [something] by one of the Torquere writers; so far it's been very short stories or scenes, or recipes, or short stories with recipes. :) And some of them come with news about a discount on one of that day's writer's stories, so if you check every day you might find something you'd like to try for cheap.

My day is the 31st and I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do. [grin] I'll post again on the 30th or 31st as a reminder and you can see what I came up with.

I'm leaving today to go up to my mom's in Reno for Christmas. (I'll be there through the 27th, BTW, with unpredictable time/access to the net, just F everyone's I.) I got a call from my husband, all frantic, saying that he'd checked my flight info online and that they'd moved it up! WTF?? They have my e-mail -- I got my confirmation and itinerary to my main e-mail address back when the tickets were booked -- and they couldn't be bothered to let me know that they'd moved the time forward?! I mean, OK, if it'd gone backward some that'd be one thing, but earlier?? [headdesk]

So I double-check and sure enough. And I'm calling to change my shuttle reservation and throwing things in the laundry and jumping in the shower because yeah, I always run last minute, and yeah, I know that this is why that's not a great idea, but that's how I operate and it works if everyone involved has their head out of their ass. [sigh]

You know, it's getting to the point where just the thought of walking out my front door, much less actually travelling somewhere, just makes me tired. I don't need this, I really don't.
